Privacy
LinkSmith stores the email address from the sign-in provider, the provider’s account id, and a session cookie on this server.
It also stores what you capture: the article URL, a short summary, your stance, and your one-sentence take. Daily notes, writing samples, the lines on what you refuse to sound like, an optional profile (name, designation, company name, company URL, and location), a short company profile read from that company URL, the angles it proposes, and the drafts are stored the same way, on your account.
The article URL alone is sent to Jina so the page can be read. When a company URL is saved, that one page is fetched the same way, and only that URL is sent to Jina. It is fetched again only when the company URL changes. Takes, samples, briefs, drafts, and the profile are not sent to Jina.
When a summary is generated, the article text is sent to Anthropic. When a set of angles or a draft is generated, what is sent includes the summaries, your takes, your writing samples, and the lines on what you refuse to sound like. Whenever a set of angles or a draft is generated, the profile stored on the account is sent as well: name, designation, company name, company URL, location, and the company profile, for whichever of those are filled in. Summaries do not include the profile.
LinkSmith does not post or publish to X, LinkedIn, or a blog. You copy a draft and post it yourself. LinkSmith does not sell the library.
Deleting the account deletes that account and the rows stored with it from this app’s database.
